2012 SEASON RESERVATIONS will be taken beginning March 1. The reservation phone number will be posted here in late February. We will let you know when we start using the camp phone number around mid-April.
BEGINNING IN MID-APRIL we will start listing the many parties that we have scheduled for this summer. For now we have listed some of the themes for each weekend but there will be so many parties that even the long-time members will be busy trying to get them all in. ARE YOU READY?

Hillside celebrates 27th year during 2012 season
HILLSIDE IS A LARGEand,
we think, best all-male campground in North America. We take this
challenge seriously and continue to make changes and improvements from
season to season. The 2012 season, which begins Friday, May 4 at 10 a.m., is our 27th year.
We want Hillside to be an attitude-free environment and with your help we can keep it that way. It is a
place where men can be themselves in the mountains of Pennsylvania.
Hillside is all about individual rights, respect and caring to the thousands of men who visit the camp each summer. We ask that all
Hillsiders help us keep it that way. Yes we must follow some rules because of the size of the property and the community makeup but we have been told they are not unreasonable for such a large camp.
Hillside members must be at least 21 years old. A picture ID showing your birthdate is required when one fills out the membership form.
Located on more than 235 secluded acres with over three miles of walkable roads, visitors can always find something to do. Excellent
camping sites exist throughout Hillside with some ideal campsites along
the shaded creek that runs through the campground.
If
fun-in-the-sun is what you want there are sites on the Landing Strip
located almost in the middle of the camp. For those who want to get
away there are a few remote sites. Most sites have water and electric with clean rest rooms nearby, flush toilets, showers and a pure water supply.
For
groups there are very large sites that can accommodate groups of 80 or
more campers. Also, Hillside has an incredible safe and secure 45-acre
play area, isolated from the outside world. It is the largest safe and
secure area of its kind on the North American continent!
The
camp is clothing optional. A popular place to relax and meet old and
new friends is around the in-ground pool where you can swim or just enjoy
the sun. The pool's official opening is Memorial Day weekend but if the
weather cooperates it's been known to open even sooner than that.
Friday
and Saturday nights you can dance at the disco located in the Rec Hall.
If dancing is not for you, you can star gaze by the huge bonfire from 9
p.m. to 2 a.m. or relax at your site.On
show nights the Rec Hall stage is spotlighted to showcase the hidden
talents of campers. On show nights the bonfire and disco start at the
conclusion of the show.
If
you plan to camp at Hillside for a weekend, reservations are a must
(note information on reservation page), otherwise you may find we are
fully booked. No reservations are needed for day campers.
Sites
and rental cabins are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If
you wait too long you might be able to get a site but it may not be the
type of site that best suits you.

Once camp opens call the reservations number at (570) 756-2007 to make all reservations or ask reservation-type questions. Do not use the Web site. Reservations are taken every day but Fridays beginning at 10 a.m. Day campers are always welcome. No reservations are needed for day campers. Please arrive any day after 10 a.m. and register in the office.

Steve Hi-Fi to DJ for 2012 season
DJ STEVE HI-FI will
be the Hillside full-time DJ in May, according to an announcement
released Nov. 15.
He will replace DJ Chuck who will not be returning to
the Hillside staff. Chuck was thanked for his work at Hillside over the
years by owner Dave.
